We're on lookout for Dewsbury’s best Christmas lights - Competition Time

This festive season, we’re on the lookout for the best Christmas lights in Dewsbury! We’re calling on local residents to share photos of their festive decorations for the chance to win tech prizes.

The competition will run on FibreNation’s Twitter channel, @FibreNationUK, where those in Dewsbury can enter by sharing a photo of their festive lights along with the hashtag #FibreNationXmasLights.

The closing date for entries is Monday 16 December, after which the winners will be decided by a panel of judges including representatives from FibreNation, Kirklees Council and the Dewsbury Partnership.

The results will be revealed on Monday 23 December, with first place winning a Nintendo Switch Lite, second place taking home an Amazon Fire TV Stick, whilst third will receive a pair of Sony Bluetooth Wireless Headphones.

FibreNation has also been confirmed as headline sponsor for the annual Dewsbury Christmas Lights switch on event on Saturday 7 December, which brings together the local community to celebrate the festive period with family entertainment, a craft fair and refreshments.

This year is the first that the event has been community-led, with FibreNation and other local businesses, along with individual supporters in the area, helping to put on the event.

All visitors to the FibreNation stand on the day of the switch on will also have the chance to enter a prize draw for the chance to win additional goodies.
